Mae gan Brifysgol Bangor draddodiad hir o ragori mewn cerddoriaeth.  Bellach mae Cerddoriaeth yn rhan o Ysgol y Celfyddydau, Diwylliant a Iaith ym Mangor ac yn cwmpasu arbenigedd mewn meysydd yn amrywio o gerddoleg, cyfansoddi a pherfformio.  Dyma hefyd gartref Cerddorfa Symffoni a Chorws Prifysgol Bangor sy’n enghraifft o’r ethos o ymwneud â’r gymuned a’r ddinas.  Mae aelodau’r gerddorfa a’r corws yn cynnwys myfyrwyr, staff, cyn-fyfyrwyr ac aelodau o’r gymdeithas leol sy’n dod at ei gilydd i astudio repertoire ysbrydoledig yn ein cyfres o gyngherddau heriol.
